How to for making white taillights!

Stuff you need:
–    1 extra set tail lights. (These custom ones are NOT legal)
–    Prism Plexiglas:    You can get it at any local hardware store
–    Colorless Kit (Universal glue. The best is TEK7, but it is not available in every country!)
–    a metal saw of some kind.
–    Tape
–    Metal/silver color spray-paint
–    glue Clasps
–    heating gun
–    Thick paper or cardboard
–    And lots of patience!!!
–    Power led’s to replace all your lights.
–    TIP:    Always try first on a piece u do NOT need!!!

Step 1:
First the glass needs to be removed. You can try to take the glass out in one piece, but that is very difficult. Smashing the glass is much easier and quicker. With a heating gun, Stanley knife, 2 screwdrivers and a lot of patience you could get it out in 1 piece. After you removed the glass, you have to remove the old glue. This is easily done with some hot water and a knife or screwdriver. When al of that is done, it is time to continue.

Step 2:
Na it is time to make a mold from the thick paper or cardboard. Now you can slightly sand paper the cardboard until you have a perfect fit. This you need to do for one lamp and the center light. For the second lamp you can just turn the mold.

Step 3:
Now the molds are finished, you can cut them out in the prism Plexiglas.
This is how you do that:
First you put tape on both sides of the. Then you draw the mold onto the tape. Now you can cut it out. Do this with a special saw or a metal saw of some kind. Now you can remove the tape and do a test fit. Sand paper the sides so you get a perfect fit. Once they fit perfectly, then we can continue to the next step.

Step 4:
The next part is to make the Plexiglas fit in to place. With a heating gun you can make the Plexiglas take form. Make it warm, and then let it cool off, while cooling you have to keep it in place. You repeat this until you get a perfect fit.

Step 5:
I got my units sprayed in the color of the car. I sprayed the inside silver, but chrome would be better for reflection of the light. Now it is time to go and fit them to make last changes

Step 6:
I sprayed The border silver so you wont see the glue afterwards in the end you will not see this silver border!!! I made this border by putting  tape over the whole thing and then cutting away what needed to be sprayed!

Step 7:
Now it is time to start glue the Plexiglas to the units. Fill the borders of the unit with kit (like the original ones). Colorless kit gives the best result. Put the clasps on en et it dry for 24 hours. To distribute the glue you could put little wooden blocks with soft paper.

Step 8:
Once dried, you an remove the clasps. You can gently remove the rest of the kit with turpentine. Don’t use to much or you could damage the Plexiglas! Put them in to the car, put the power leds, and done!!!
