There is not any windblocker that will fit perfectly with my TR Lane Roll bar. Therefore i decided to make my own. It is not to difficult to make. We made it in about 2,5 hours.

Stuff you need:
– 8 mm Polycarbonate / Lexan clear UV protected sheet (100x50x0.8 cm)
– plywood board (100×60 cm)
– overhead router
– Sanding machine (mouse)
– belt sanding machine
– Marker
– Tyrips
– jig saw

First we place the plywood board on the place where the wind blocker is coming. Then you use the marker to make a line, so you know where to trim.
Next we cut about 1mm larger with the jig saw. Then use the belt sanding machine to take the last mm away, so you have a perfect smooth fit.

Then we use the overhead router to trim the 8 mm Polycarbonate / Lexan sheet in to shape. Make sure you use a sharp router, otherwise it will chip! Now do a test fit. If it is the shape you want, then start sanding the side of the Polycarbonate / lexan sheet. Start with 120, then 240 and so forth. I went al the way, to polish the side.

Now it is time to decide how to mount the new windblocker. I know some people add magnets to the blocker. I first decided to use velcro there for i made some grooves. At the end i decided to mount it with tyrips, so did not really need the grooves…

After mounting, i took the “sticker”of both side. Below the pictures  with the end result!
